Through their catalytic activity, ACOTs are able to regulate the level of fatty acids and acyl-CoAs within the cell. ACOT9 (acyl-CoA thioesterase 9), also known as ACATE2, MT-ACT48 (mitochondrial acyl-CoA thioesterase of 48 kDa) or CGI-16, is a 406 amino acid member of the acyl-CoA hydrolase protein family. ACOT9 contains a C-terminal 80-amino acid domain that is conserved from mouse to human, suggesting that the C-terminus may confer the catalytic activity of ACOT9. The gene encoding ACOT9 is located on chromosome X and the expressed ACOT9 protein is localized to the mitochondrion.

Product: Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Specificity: ACOT9 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of ACOT9 protein.

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Extra Notes: Western blot (WB) analysis of ACOT9 polyclonal antibody at 1:500 dilution Lane 1: HEK293T whole cell lysate
Lane 2: RAW264.7 whole cell lysate Lane 3: H9C2 whole cell lysate , Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of ACOT9 pAb bin paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue at 1:50,showing cytoplasmic staining.Negative control (the right)Using PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-biotin followed by avidin-peroxidase.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 43 kDa

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term.
