Angiogenin (ANG or ANG I) is a non-glycosylated polypeptide, 123 amino acids in length, whose function is central to this process. ANG I shows a high degree of homology with known ribonucleases such as pancreatic ribonuclease A, and the capacity of ANG I to induce blood vessel growth is critically dependent on its ribonucleolytic activity. ANG I is thought to be involved in the development of solid tumors, and ANG I antagonists are capable of inhibiting tumor growth. By a poorly understood mechanism, ANG I is endocytosed by subconfluent endothelial cells and translocated to the nucleus where it accumulates in the nucleolus. The ANG I receptor has not yet been identified.

Product: Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Specificity: ANG polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of ANG protein.

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Extra Notes: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of ANG pAb in paraffin-embedded human rectum carcinoma tissue at 1:50,showing cell membrane and secreted staining.Negative control (the right)Using PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-biotin followed by avidin-peroxidase.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 17 kDa

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term.
