Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme. This protein can undergo autoproteolytic processing and activation by the apoptosome, a protein complex of cytochrome c and the apoptotic peptidase activating factor 1; this step is thought to be one of the earliest in the caspase activation cascade. This protein is thought to play a central role in apoptosis and to be a tumor suppressor. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Specificity: Unmodification

Bioworld Molecular Weight: 47KDa/35KDa/37KDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using Caspase-9 antibody at 1:1000 dilution.L929 cells were treated by staurosporine for 3 hour.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Basic Kit.
Exposure time: 30s., Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using Caspase-9 antibody at 1:1000 dilution.Jurkat cells were treated by Etoposide at 37℃ for 5 hours.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Basic Kit.
Exposure time: 90s.

Alternative Name: CASP9; APAF-3; APAF3; ICE-LAP6; MCH6; PPP1R56; caspase-9; casp9; Caspase 9

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide of human Caspase-9(NP_001220.2).

Modification: Unmodified

Conjugate: Unconjugated

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0305/9482/6376/products/thumbnail_d1447bac803ec9be_11-14-09-19-51_2053dca0-be2e-4c25-b0c7-d1908e1f8644.jpg?v=1705231712
