{"product_id":"cytokeratin-16-monoclonal-antibody-mb66000","title":"Cytokeratin 16 Monoclonal Antibody-MB66000","description":"Cytokeratin 16 Monoclonal Antibody\n\nSizes: 50µl, 100µl\n\nCatalogue Numbers: MB66000-50, MB66000-100\n\nProduct: Mouse IgG. Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.2% BSA and 0.01% sodium azide.\n\nSwiss-Prot: P08779\n\nHost: Mouse\n\nReactivity: Human\n\nApplications: IHC\n\nAll Applications: IHC (1\/100 - 1\/300)\n\nBackground: Cytokeratins comprise a diverse group of intermediate filament proteins that are expressed as pairs in both keratinized and non-keratinized epithelial tissue. The cytokeratin proteins play a critical role in differentiation, as well as tissue specialization and function, to maintain the overall structural integrity of epithelial cells. Cytokeratins are also useful markers in identifying the origin of metastatic tumors. Cytokeratin 16 is expressed in benign stratified squamous epithelium and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, as well as luminal cells of mammary gland and sweat ducts. It is absent in noninvasive breast carcinomas and normal breast tissue. Mutations in the Cytokeratin 16 gene cause various diseases, including pachyonychia congenita type 1 (PC1), nonepidermolytic palmoplantar keratoderma (NEPPK) and unilateral palmoplantar verrucous nevus (UPVN).\n\nPurification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is \u0026gt; 95% (by SDS-PAGE).\n\nStorage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.\n\nSpecificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of Cytokeratin 16 protein.\n\nBioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 51 kDa\n\nNote: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.\n\nExtra Notes: Immunohistochemical analysis of Cytokeratin 16 staining in human cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX., Immunohistochemical analysis of Cytokeratin 16 staining in human esophageal squamous carcinoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX., Immunohistochemical analysis of Cytokeratin 16 staining in human squamous cell lung carcinoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.\n\nAlternative Name: KRT16A; Keratin type I cytoskeletal 16; Cytokeratin-16; CK-16; Keratin-16; K16\n\nImmunogen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within human Cytokeratin 16. The exact sequence is proprietary.\n\nConjugate: Unconjugated\n\nModification: Unmodified","brand":"BioWorld","offers":[{"title":"50µl","offer_id":43044043522227,"sku":"MB66000-50","price":260.23,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true},{"title":"100µl","offer_id":43044043554995,"sku":"MB66000-100","price":452.94,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0305\/9482\/6376\/products\/thumbnail_d1447bac803ec9be_11-14-09-19-51_5c82f5af-d27d-448c-b875-984c63dae64c.jpg?v=1707738985","url":"https:\/\/afsbio.com\/products\/cytokeratin-16-monoclonal-antibody-mb66000","provider":"AFSBio Inc.","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
