Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) form the octamer, which consists of two H2A-H2B dimers and two H3-H4 dimers, forming two nearly symmetrical halves by tertiary structure. Over 80% of nucleosomes contain the linker Histone H1, derived from an intronless gene that interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and mediates compaction into higher order chromatin. Histones are subject to posttranslational modification by enzymes primarily on their N-terminal tails, but also in their globular domains. Such modifications include methylation, citrullination, acetylation, phosphorylation, sumoylation, ubiquitination and ADP-ribosylation.

Product: Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Specificity: Histone H2B (P8) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Histone H2B protein.

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Extra Notes: Western blot (WB) analysis of Histone H2B (P8) polyclonal antibody at 1:1000 dilution Lane 1: HEK293T whole cell lysate (44ug) Lane 2: HEPG2 whole cell lysate (55ug)
Lane 3: RAW264.7 whole cell lysate (57ug) Lane 4: H9C2 whole cell lysate (37ug) , Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of Histone H2B (P8) pAb in paraffin-embedded human breast cancer tissue.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 14 kDa

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term.
