It is expressed in macrophages, monocytes, endothelial cells and muscle cells. HB-EGF signals through the EGF receptor to stimulate the proliferation of smooth muscle cells, epithelial cells and keratinocytes. Compared to EGF, HB-EGF binds the EGF receptor with higher affinity and is thus more mitogenic, probably due to its ability to bind to heparin and heparin sulfate proteoglycans. HB-EGF has been reported to act as a diphtheria toxin receptor, mediating endocytosis of the bound toxin.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BioWorld","offers":[{"title":"5μg","offer_id":42882251817139,"sku":"BK0218-5","price":217.41,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true},{"title":"25μg","offer_id":42882251849907,"sku":"BK0218-25","price":375.54,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0305\/9482\/6376\/products\/thumbnail_d1447bac803ec9be_11-14-09-19-51_301e4900-094d-48f9-9974-aa831c44738b.jpg?v=1702050097","url":"https:\/\/afsbio.com\/products\/recombinant-hb-egf-human-bk0218","provider":"AFSBio Inc.","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
