It catalyses the hydrolytic deamination of adenosine and deoxy-adenosine to inosine and deoxyinosine. ADA is expressed in virtually all tissues and is expressed at high levels in T-lymphocytes. Adenosine Deaminase deficiency can cause a form of SCID (severe combined immunodeficiency) and lymphopenia in both B- and T-cell lineages ADA can be used as a sensitive diagnostic marker for tuberculous pleuritis. Although it is primarily a cytosolic enzyme, ADA is known to be a positive regulator of T-cell co-activation due to its binding to CD26 at the cell surface. The interaction of ADA with CD26 regulates lymphocyte-epithelial cell adhesion.

Sequence: Lys 11-Val 280

Purity: > 95 % as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.

Reconstitution: Please refer to the printed manual for detailed information.

Endotoxin: Please contact us for more information.

Calculated MW: 29.59 kDa

Observed MW: 32 kDa

Storage: Generally, lyophilized proteins are stable for up to 12 months when stored at -20 to -80℃.
