Cystatin-B \/ CSTB is an intracellular thiol proteinase inhibitor. Tightly binding reversible inhibitor of cathepsins L, H and B. Cystatin-B \/ CSTB is able to form a dimer stabilized by noncovalent forces, inhibiting papain and cathepsins l, h and b.
