They consist principally of 2 soluble proteins, alpha- and beta-tubulin, each of about 55,000 Da. Antibodies against beta Tubulin are useful as loading controls for Western Blotting. However it should be noted that levels of β-Tubulin may not be stable in certain cells. For example, expression of β-Tubulin in adipose tissue is very low and therefore β-Tubulin should not be used as loading control for these tissues.

Condition: Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.14% sodium azide.

Storage Instructions: -20°C/1 year

Applications: IHC-p; WB

Species Cross-Reactivity: Human; Mouse; Rat

Protein MW (KDa): 55

SWISS: P02557

Source: Mouse

Research Use Only

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0305/9482/6376/files/logo_c4c75ed2-6d8e-495b-a322-01401302def3.png?v=1773344218
