Background: The product of the ATRIP gene is an essential component of the DNA damage checkpoint, and binds to single stranded DNA coated with replication protein A that accumulates at sites of DNA damage. The encoded protein interacts with the ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3 related protein, a checkpoint kinase, resulting in accumulation of the kinase at intranuclear foci induced by DNA damage. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Extra Notes: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of ATRIP (D64) pAb in paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue at 1:100.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 80 kDa

Specificity: ATRIP (D64) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of ATRIP protein.

Alternative Name: ATR-interacting protein; ATM and Rad3-related-interacting protein; ATRIP; AGS1

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 30-76 of Human ATRIP.
