Eg5  (phospho-T926) Polyclonal Antibody

Sizes: 50μl, 100μl

Catalogue Numbers: BS4428-50, BS4428-100

Lead times: 1-2 weeks, if manufacturer has product in stock

Manufacturer/Ship Location: China

Background: Eg5 (also called kinesin-like protein 11 or Kif11) belongs to the kinesin-like family of motor proteins important in chromosome positioning, centrosome separation, and mitotic spindle formation. Phosphorylation of Eg5 by mitotic kinases regμlates its activity by modμlating its association with microtubμles. Because anti-mitotic chemotherapeutic drugs, such as taxanes, target microtubμles and have pleiotropic and sometimes toxic effects, drugs that target microtubμle-associated proteins such as Eg5 are currently in development.

Category: Primary Antibody

Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat

Host: Rabbit

Applications: WB

Alternate Names: Kinesin-like protein KIF11, Kinesin-like protein 1, Kinesin-like spindle protein HKSP, Kinesin-related motor protein Eg5, Thyroid receptor-interacting protein 5, TR-interacting protein 5, TRIP-5, KIF11, EG5, KNSL1, TRIP5

Clonality: Polyclonal

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Phosphorylated

Immunogen: Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Eg5 around the phosphorylation site of Threonine 926

Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000

Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Specificity: p-Eg5 (T926) pAb detects endogenous levels of Eg5 protein only when phosphorylated at Thr926.
