Background: Hydrolysis of the deoxyribose N-glycosidic bond to excise 3-methyladenine, and 7-methylguanine from the damaged DNA polymer formed by alkylation lesions.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Polyclonal Antibodies
Bioworld Molecular Weight: 37kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using MPG antibody at 1:1000 dilution.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per Lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Enhanced Kit.
Exposure time: 40s., Immunofluorescence analysis of U2OS cells using MPG antibody. Blue: DAPI for nuclear staining., Immunofluorescence analysis of GFP-RNF168 transgenic U2OS cells using MPG antibody. Green: GFP-RNF168 fusion protein expression for DNA damage marker. Blue: DAPI for nuclear staining. RNF168 can be used to mark cells damaged by UV-A laser for they always gather around DNA damage region., Immunofluorescence analysis of A549 cells using MPG antibody.
