Background: estrogen receptor 2(ESR2) Homo sapiens This gene encodes a member of the family of estrogen receptors and superfamily of nuclear receptor transcription factors. The gene product contains an N-terminal DNA binding domain and C-terminal ligand binding domain and is localized to the nucleus, cytoplasm, and mitochondria. Upon binding to 17beta-estradiol or related ligands, the encoded protein forms homo- or hetero-dimers that interact with specific DNA sequences to activate transcription. Some isoforms dominantly inhibit the activity of other estrogen receptor family members. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been fully characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Phospho-ERβ (S87) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of ERβ protein only when phosphorylated at S87.

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Name: ESR2; ESTRB; NR3A2; Estrogen receptor beta; ER-beta; Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group A member 2

Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Estrogen Receptor-beta around the phosphorylation site of Ser87. AA range:53-102

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Phosphorylation
