Citations, Manuals and MSDS Available upon request.
Description: Cleaves terminal sialic-acid residues that are α2,3-, α2,6-, or α2,8-linked to Gal, GlcNAc, GalNAc, AcNeu, GlcNeu, oligosaccharides, glycolipids, or glycoproteins. Relative rate of cleavage is α2,3 >α2,8 = α2,6, determined on bonds in tri- and tetrasaccharides.
Form: Lyophilized
Storage buffer: Lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol.
Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Applications: Neuraminidase (Sialidase) has been used to desialylate transferrin in order to study its isoforms in human serum.
Expression system: E. coli
Protein length: Neuraminidase (Sialidase) is cloned from Clostridium perfringens and expressed in E. coli.
