Background: Catalyzes the conversion of long-chain fatty acids to their active form acyl-CoA for both synthesis of cellular lipids, and degradation via beta-oxidation.Preferentially activates arachidonate and eicosapentaenoate as substrates.Preferentially activates 8,9-EET > 14,15-EET > 5,6-EET > 11,12-EET. Modulates glucose-stimulated insulin secretion by regulating the levels of unesterified EETs (By similarity).Modulates prostaglandin E2 secretion.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of ACSL4 protein.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of ACSL4 expression in HEK293T (A), H1688 (B), HCT116 (C), mouse brain (D), mouse kidney (E), rat kidney (F) whole cell lysates.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 80 kDa
