Human Adenoviruses can cause different diseases, including respiratory diseases and diarrhea.

The native antigen consists of the Adenovirus Type 2 hexon, strain Adenoid 6, and is produced by cultivation of Adenovirus in HEp2 cells. The extracted hexon is purified by ion exchange chromatography (IEX). Purity of ≥ 95 % is confirmed by SDS-PAGE (Coomassie staining).

The antigen BA128VS is suitable for the detection of IgG and IgM antibodies against Adenovirus.
