Catalogue Numbers: MB65870-50, MB65870-100
Sizes: 50µl, 100µl
Swiss-Prot: P02771
Host: Mouse
Reactivity: Human
Applications: WB, IHC
Background: Binds copper, nickel, and fatty acids as well as, and bilirubin less well than, serum albumin. Only a small percentage (less than 2%) of the human AFP shows estrogen-binding properties.
Product: Liquid in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of Alpha-fetoglobulin protein.
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of Alpha-fetoglobulin expression in HepG2 (A) whole cell lysates., Immunohistochemical analysis of Alpha-fetoglobulin staining in human hepatocancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
