Background: This gene encodes a member of the annexin family. Members of this calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein family play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and in signal transduction pathways. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it is associated with the plasma membrane of undifferentiated, proliferating endothelial cells and differentiated villus enterocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],

Source: Rabbit

Applications: WB; ELISA

Dilution: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000

Reactivity: Human; Mouse

Immunogen: Synthesized peptide derived from part region of human protein

Storage and Stability: -20°C/1 year

Clonality: Polyclonal

Isotype: IgG

Concentration: 1 mg/ml

Observed Band (KD): 34kD

Human Gene ID: 312

Human SWISS Prot NO: P27216

Subcellular Location: Apical cell membrane. Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor. Cytoplasmic vesicle. Myristoylation anchors the protein to the membrane, but the protein displays also calcium-dependent, reversible binding to lipid membranes (PubMed:30610115). Associated with the plasma membrane of undifferentiated, proliferating crypt epithelial cells as well as differentiated villus enterocytes (PubMed:1530946).
