Background: Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase belongs to the purine/pyrimidine phosphoribosyltransferase family. A conserved feature of this gene is the distribution of CpG dinucleotides. This enzyme catalyzes the formation of AMP and inorganic pyrophosphate from adenine and 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP). It also produces adenine as a by-product of the polyamine biosynthesis pathway.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Specificity: APRT polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of APRT protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~19 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of APRT polyclonal antibody, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis of APRT polyclonal antibody in paraffin-embedded Human Thyroid Cancer tissue.
