Aspergillus fumigatus Antigen - BA132F01

The fungus Aspergillus fumigatus belongs to the group of ascomycetes. It is spread by extremely resistant spores (conidiospores) and causes a variety of allergic diseases as well as aspergillosis in human beings. Patients with persisting immune suppression may develop severe clinical aspergillosis, such as invasive aspergillosis of the lungs which presents as an acute pneumonia accompanied by high fever.

For production of the native Aspergillus fumigatus antigen BA132F01, the strain Ag‑507 is grown in broth culture. The antigen preparation of somatic material contains a high concentration of Aspergillus galactomannan.
