ASPM Polyclonal Antibody Sizes: 50µl, 100µl Catalogue Numbers: BS77601-50, BS77601-100 Product: 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2 Host: Rabbit Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat Applications: WB, IF/ICC All Applications: WB,1:500 - 1:2000 | IF/ICC,1:50 - 1:200 Background: This gene is the human ortholog of the Drosophila melanogaster 'abnormal spindle' gene (asp), which is essential for normal mitotic spindle function in embryonic neuroblasts. Studies in mouse also suggest a role of this gene in mitotic spindle regulation, with a preferential role in regulating neurogenesis. Mutations in this gene are associated with microcephaly primary type 5. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, May 2011] Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE). Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Specificity: Unmodification Bioworld Molecular Weight: 350kDa Immunogen: A synthetic peptide of human ASPM(NP_060606.3). Conjugate: Unconjugated Modification: Unmodified Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure. Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using ASPM antibody at 1:1000 dilution. Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution. Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit.
