Background: Mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca2+-independent manner (PubMed:22438059, PubMed:12050160).Also mediates heterophilic cell-cell adhesion with CADM3 and NECTIN3 in a Ca2+-independent manner (By similarity).

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of CADM1 expression in mouse brain (A), rat brain (B) whole cell lysates., Immunohistochemical analysis of CADM1 staining in human liver cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
