Background: Calponin 1 is a member of the Calponin family, which consists of Calponins 1, 2, and 3. Calponin 1 is exquisitely expressed in smooth muscle cells of various tissues, where it interacts with filamentous F-actin to regulate smooth muscle contraction.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of Calponin 1 protein.
