Background: This gene encodes two isoforms of a receptor for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, a chemokine which specifically mediates monocyte chemotaxis. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is involved in monocyte infiltration in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis as well as in the inflammatory response against tumors. The receptors encoded by this gene mediate agonist-dependent calcium mobilization and inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. This gene is located in the chemokine receptor gene cluster region. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants are expressed by the gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009],

Source: Rabbit
Applications: WB; ELISA
Dilution: Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. ELISA: 1/10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
Reactivity: Human; Rat; Mouse;
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human CCR2. AA range:1-50
Storage and Stability: -20°C/1 year
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed Band (KD): 42kD
Human Gene ID: 729230
Human SWISS Prot NO: P41597
Subcellular Location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. The chemoattractant receptors are distributed throughout the cell surface; after stimulation with a ligand, such as CCL2, they are rapidly recruited into microdomain clusters at the cell membrane.
