Background: This gene encodes a cell surface receptor necessary for cellular iron uptake by the process of receptor-mediated endocytosis. This receptor is required for erythropoiesis and neurologic development. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been identified.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: CD71/Transferrin Receptor polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CD71/Transferrin Receptor protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 100 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using CD71/Transferrin Receptor antibody at 1:1000 dilution., Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded rat kidney using CD71/Transferrin Receptor antibody at dilution of 1:100 (40x lens)., Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded human liver cancer using CD71/Transferrin Receptor antibody at dilution of 1:100 (40x lens)., Immunofluorescence analysis of PC-12 cells using CD71/Transferrin Receptor pAb at dilution of 1:100 (40x lens).
