Background: CDX2, a homeobox domain-containing transcription factor, is a master regulator of the trophectoderm, the layer that gives rise to extra-embryonic tissues in mammalian development. CDX2 is also involved in intestinal development, and gain of expression or loss of expression has been associated with various human malignancies, such as Barrett's esophagus and colorectal cancer. Mouse embryonic stem cells deficient in CDX2 display limited hematopoietic progenitor development and altered Hox gene expression, pointing to a role for CDX2 in Hox gene regulation. CDX2 is also implicated in the aberrant expression of Hox genes in human AML cell lines.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.

Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of CDX2 expression in Hela (A), Caco2 (B), C2C12 (C), SW480 (D), COS7 (E), HepG2 (F), NIH3T3 (G) whole cell lysates., Immunofluorescent analysis of CDX2 staining in HeLa cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a AF488-conjugated secondary antibody (green) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.
