Cleaved-CASP4 p20 (Q81) Polyclonal Antibody Sizes: 60μL, 120μL, 200μL Catalogue Numbers: E-AB-30021-60, E-AB-30021-120, E-AB-30021-200 Citations, Manuals and MSDS Available upon request. Abbreviation: Cleaved-Caspase-4 p20 (Q81) Target Synonym: Apoptotic cysteine protease Mih1/TX; CASP-4; CASP4; CASP4; Caspase 4 apoptosis related cysteine peptidase; Caspase-4 subunit 2; Caspase4; ICE(rel)-II; ICE(rel)II; ICEREL II; ICH2; Mih1/TX; Protease ICH-2; Protease TX; TX Research Areas: Cancer, Cell Biology, Metabolism Conjugation: Unconjugated Host: Rabbit Species Reactivity: Human Application: WB, IHC-p, ELISA Isotype: IgG Clonality: Polyclonal UNIProt ID: P49662 Background: This gene encodes a member of the cysteine proteases that plays important roles in apoptosis, cell migration and the inflammatory response. The encoded protein mediates production of pro-inflammatory cytokines by macrophages upon bacterial infection. Mice lacking the encoded protein are resistant to endotoxic shock induced by lipopolysaccharide. A 5-bp deletion encompassing a splice acceptor junction resulting in alternate splicing and a shorter non-functional isoform in certain mouse strains has been described. Although its official nomenclature is "caspase 4, apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase", this gene and its encoded protein have historically been called caspase 11. This gene is present in a cluster of three caspase genes on chromosome 9. Concentration: 1mg/mL Immunogen: Synthesized peptide derived from the Internal region of human Caspase-4 p20 Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 0.5% protective protein and 50% glycerol, pH7.4 Purification Method: Affinity purification Dilution: WB 1:500-1:2000, IHC 1:100-1:300, ELISA 1:40000 Calculated MW: 43kDa Observed MW: 43+22kDa Storage: -20°C/One year.
