Background: Phosphorylation-dependent transcription factor that stimulates transcription upon binding to the DNA cAMP response element (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Transcription activation is enhanced by the TORC coactivators which act independently of Ser-133 phosphorylation. Involved in different cellular processes including the synchronization of circadian rhythmicity and the differentiation of adipose cells.
Purification and Purity: ProA affinity purified
Storage and Stability: Store at +4°C after thawing. Aliquot store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
Specificity: CREB (Phospho-S133) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CREB protein only when phosphorylated at S133.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: Predicted band size 37 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of Phospho-Creb (S133) on human colon tissue lysates using anti-Phospho-Creb (S133) antibody at 1/500 dilution., ICC staining Phospho-Creb (S133) in SH-SY-5Y cells (green). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS.
