Applications: WB
All Applications: WB (1/500 - 1/1000)
Background: Plays a central role in 2-thiolation of mcm5S2U at tRNA wobble positions of tRNA(Lys), tRNA(Glu) and tRNA(Gln). Directly binds tRNAs and probably acts by catalyzing adenylation of tRNAs, an intermediate required for 2-thiolation. It is unclear whether it acts as a sulfurtransferase that transfers sulfur from thiocarboxylated URM1 onto the uridine of tRNAs at wobble position.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 165% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of CTU1 protein.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of CTU1 expression in HEK293T (A), PC3 (B), mouse brain (C) whole cell lysates.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 36 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
