Background: DNA polymerase that functions in several pathways of DNA repair . Involved in base excision repair (BER) responsible for repair of lesions that give rise to abasic (AP) sites in DNA . Also contributes to DNA double-strand break repair by non-homologous end joining and homologous recombination . Has both template-dependent and template-independent (terminal transferase) DNA polymerase activities . Has also a 5'-deoxyribose-5-phosphate lyase (dRP lyase) activity .
Product: Liquid in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of DNA Polymerase lambda protein.
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of DNA Polymerase lambda expression in HepG2 (A), SGC7901 (B), Panc1 (C) whole cell lysates., Immunohistochemical analysis of DNA Polymerase lambda staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
