Background: DOK proteins are enzymatically inert adaptor or scaffolding proteins. They provide a docking platform for the assembly of multimolecular signaling complexes. DOK4 functions in RET-mediated neurite outgrowth and plays a positive role in activation of the MAP kinase pathway (By similarity).
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 170% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of DOK4 protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 40 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of DOK4 expression in HEK293T (A), HepG2 (B), rat liver (C), mouse kidney (D) whole cell lysates., Immunofluorescent analysis of DOK4 staining in HeLa cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a AF594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.
Alternative Name: Docking protein 4; Downstream of tyrosine kinase 4; Insulin receptor substrate 5; IRS-5; IRS5
Immunogen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human DOK4. The exact sequence is proprietary.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Unmodified
