Background: Biotransformation enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of arene and aliphatic epoxides to less reactive and more water soluble dihydrodiols by the trans addition of water (By similarity).Plays a role in the metabolism of endogenous lipids such as epoxide-containing fatty acids.Metabolizes the abundant endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) to free arachidonic acid (AA) and glycerol.
Product: Liquid in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of EPHX1 protein.
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of EPHX1 expression in Jurkat (A), K562 (B), mouse liver (C) whole cell lysates., Immunohistochemical analysis of EPHX1 staining in mouse liver formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
