Background: The protein encoded by this gene is part of a protein complex that mediates degradation of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptors in the endoplasmic reticulum. The encoded protein also binds cholesterol and regulates the SREBP signaling pathway, which promotes cellular cholesterol homeostasis. Defects in this gene have been associated with spastic paraplegia 62.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Polyclonal Antibodies
Bioworld Molecular Weight: 39kDa
