Background: GK is a 559 amino acid mitochondrial peripheral membrane protein that belongs to the FGGY kinase family and is a key enzyme involved in the regulation of glycerol uptake and metabolism. GK shows high expression in kidney, testis and liver and exists as three isoforms, which are produced as a result of alternative splicing events.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: GK polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of GK protein.
