Background: The protein encoded by this gene binds high density lipoprotein (HDL) and may function to regulate excess cholesterol levels in cells. The encoded protein also binds RNA and can induce heterochromatin formation.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Polyclonal Antibodies
Bioworld Molecular Weight: 150kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using HDLBP antibody at 1:3000 dilution.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per Lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Basic Kit.
Exposure time: 30s., Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded rat liver using HDLBP antibody at dilution of 1:100.
