Swiss-Prot: P62807

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human

Applications: WB

All Applications: WB (1/500 - 1/1000)

Background: Entirely replaces classical histone H2B prior nucleosome to protamine transition and probably acts as a nucleosome dissociating factor that creates a more dynamic chromatin, facilitating the large-scale exchange of histones ore component of nucleosome .Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template.Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability .DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling .Also found in fat cells, its function and the presence of post-translational modifications specific to such cells are still unclear.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of Histone H2B protein.

Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of Histone H2B expression in HEK293T (A), HCT116 (B) whole cell lysates.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 15 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
