Background: Insulin-like growth factor-II mRNA-binding proteins (IMPs) belong to a family of zipcode-binding proteins. Three members of this family, IMP1, IMP2, and IMP3, have been identified. They contain two RNA recognition motifs, four K homology domains, and were found to function in mRNA localization, turnover, and translation control. Research studies have implicated these proteins in a variety of physiological and pathological processes, such as growth and development, testicular neoplasia, and melanocytic neoplasia. IMP3 is an oncofetal protein expressed in developing tissues as well as in many tumor types. Expression of IMP3 is a marker for poor prognosis and metastasis in a variety of cancers.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of IGF2BP3 protein.

Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of IGF2BP3 expression in MCF7 (A), SKVO3 (B), NTERA2 (C), Jurkat (D), Hela (E), K562 (F) whole cell lysates.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 70 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
