Background: Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a potent pleiotropic cytokine that regulates cell growth and differentiation of various tissues, and is known particularly for its role in the immune response and acute phase reactions. IL-6 is a cytokine with a wide variety of biological functions and belongs to the IL-6 superfamily. IL-6 is a potent inducer of the acute phase response and plays an essential role in the final differentiation of B-cells into Ig-secreting cells Involved in lymphocyte and monocyte differentiation.
Purification and Purity: Protein A affinity purified
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: This antibody detects endogenous levels of IL-6 and does not cross-react with related proteins.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 23 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot (WB) analysis of IL-6 Mouse mAb at 1:500 dilution
