Background: Mediates the voltage-dependent sodium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the protein forms a sodium-selective channel through which Na(+) ions may pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient. It is a tetrodotoxin-sensitive Na(+) channel isoform. Plays a role in pain mechanisms, especially in the development of inflammatory pain.
Purification and Purity: ProA affinity purified
Storage and Stability: Store at +4°C after thawing. Aliquot store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
Specificity: NaV1.7 monoclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of NaV1.7 protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: 226 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: ICC staining NaV1.7 (green) in A549 cells. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS., ICC staining NaV1.7 (green) in Hela cells. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).
