Background: NCF2, NCF1, and a membrane bound cytochrome b558 are required for activation of the latent NADPH oxidase (necessary for superoxide production). Defects in NCF2 are a cause of chronic granulomatous disease autosomal recessive cytochrome-b-positive type 2 (CGD2). Chronic granulomatous disease is a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by the inability of neutrophils and phagocytes to kill microbes that they have ingested. Patients suffer from life-threatening bacterial/fungal infections.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: NCF2 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of NCF2 protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 60 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: WesternBlot (WB) analysis of NCF2 polyclonal antibody in extracts from THP1 cells and mouse spleen tissue., Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis of NCF2 pAb in paraffin-embedded Human Esophageal Cancer tissue., Immunofluorescence analysis of Hela cells, using NCF2 polyclonal antibody
