Background: Neurogenin-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NEUROG1 gene. Acts as a transcriptional regulator. Involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Associates with chromatin to enhancer regulatory elements in genes encoding key transcriptional regulators of neurogenesis. NEUROG1 has been shown to interact with CREB-binding protein and decapentaplegic homolog 1.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: NEUROG1 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of NEUROG1 protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~26 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western Blot analysis of NEUROG1 polyclonal antibody
