Background: Oct2 is a transcription factor that specifically binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). Oct2 regulates transcription in a number of tissues in addition to activating immunoglobulin gene expression. It also modulates transcription transactivation by NR3C1, AR and PGR. Oct2 is B cell specific, belongs to the POU transcription factor family class 2 subfamily and contains 1 homeobox domain.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of 44106 protein.

Extra Notes: Immunohistochemical analysis of 44106 staining in human hodgkin's lymphoma formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen.
