Background: pappalysin 1 (PAPPA) Homo sapiens This gene encodes a secreted metalloproteinase which cleaves insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) . It is thought to be involved in local proliferative processes such as wound healing and bone remodeling.
