Background: phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 2, mitochondrial (PCK2) Homo sapiens This gene encodes a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the presence of guanosine triphosphate (GTP) .
