Background: Released during platelet aggregation. Neutralizes the anticoagulant effect of heparin because it binds more strongly to heparin than to the chondroitin-4-sulfate chains of the carrier molecule. Chemotactic for neutrophils and monocytes. Inhibits endothelial cell proliferation, the short form is a more potent inhibitor than the longer form.
Purification and Purity: Affinity Purified
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: IgG
Bioworld Molecular Weight: Calculated MW: 11 kDa; Observed MW: 11 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of PF4 in rat spleen lysates using PF4 antibody., Western blot analysis of PF4 in A549, HL-60 lysates using PF4 antibody., Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded liver cancer using PF4 antibody. High-pressure and temperature Sodium Citrate pH 6.0 was used for antigen retrieval.
