Background: Glomerular epithelial protein 1 (GLEPP1), also designated protein tyrosine phosphatase U2 (PTPase U2) or receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase O (PTPRO), belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. GLEPP1 is a Type I membrane protein containing 8 fibronectin type-III domains and 1 tyrosine-protein phosphatase domain. GLEPP1 is expressed primarily in the glomeruli of the kidney, but is also detected in placenta, lung and brain.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: PTPRO polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of PTPRO protein.

Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 162 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Extra Notes: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of PTPRO pAb in paraffin-embedded human kidney carcinoma tissue at 1:50, showing cytoplasm and membrane staining. Negative control (the right) Using PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-biotin followed by avidin-peroxidase., Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of PTPRO pAb in paraffin-embedded human stomach carcinoma tissue at 1:50, showing cytoplasm and membrane staining. Negative control (the right) Using PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-biotin followed by avidin-peroxidase.
