Description: Recombinant Human B29/CD79B Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala29-Asp159) of human CD79b/B29 (Accession #NP_000617.1) fused with a hFc tag at the C-terminus.

Alternate Names: AGM6, B29, IGB, CD79B, B29, IGB

SWISS: P40259

GeneID: 974

Species: Human

Purity: ≥ 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE; ≥ 90 % as determined by HPLC.

Storage: Store at -20 ℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.

Background: B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain (CD79B) is also known as B-cell-specific glycoprotein B29, Ig-beta,Immunoglobulin-associated B29 protein, B29 and IGB, which is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing one Ig-like V-type ( immunoglobulin-like ) domain and one ITAM domain.CD79b is required in cooperation with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR).CD79b can enhance phosphorylation of CD79A, possibly by recruiting kinases which phosphorylate CD79A or by recruiting proteins which bind to CD79A and protect it from dephosphorylation. Defects in CD79b are the cause of agammaglobulinemia type 6 (AGM6) that is a primary immunodeficiency characterized by profoundly low or absent serum antibodies and low or absent circulating B cells due to an early block of B-cell development.

Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CD79B at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Anti-CD79B Humanized Antibody with a linear range of 0.781-1.771 ng/mL.
