Description: Recombinant Human IkB-alpha/NFKBIA Protein is produced by E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Phe2-Leu317) of human IkB-alpha (Accession #NP_065390.1).
Alternate Names: IKBA, MAD-3, NFKBI, NFKBIA, MAD-3, NFKBI, IKB alpha, EDAID2, IKBA, NFKB inhibitor alpha
SWISS: P25963
GeneID: 4792
Species: Human
Purity: ≥ 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store at -20 ℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: This protein is a member of the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family, which contain multiple ankrin repeat domains. The protein is interacts with REL dimers to inhibit NF-kappa-B/REL complexes which are involved in inflammatory responses. The protein moves between the cytoplasm and the nucleus via a nuclear localization signal and CRM1-mediated nuclear export. Mutations in this gene have been found in ectodermal dysplasia anhidrotic with T-cell immunodeficiency autosomal dominant disease.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human IkB-alpha Protein at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind IκBα Rabbit mAb with a linear range of 0.195-0.64 ng/mL.
