Description: Recombinant Human IL-11 Protein is produced by E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Pro22-Leu199) of human IL-11 (Accession #NP_000632.1) fused with an initial Met at the N-terminus.
Alternate Names: IL11, AGIF, IL-11
SWISS: P20809
GeneID: 3589
Species: Human
Purity: ≥ 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store at -20 ℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: The protein is a member of the gp130 family of cytokines. These cytokines drive the assembly of multisubunit receptor complexes, all of which contain at least one molecule of the transmembrane signaling receptor IL6ST (gp130). This cytokine is shown to stimulate the T-cell-dependent development of immunoglobulin-producing B cells. It is also found to support the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells.
Bio-Activity: Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is 1.3-5 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of 2×10^5 -7.69×10^5 units/mg.
