Abbreviation: IL-1Ra
Target Synonym: Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist protein; IL-1RN; IL-1ra; IRAP; ICIL-1RA; IL1 inhibitor; Anakinra; IL1RN; IL1F3; IL1RA
UNIProt ID: P18510
Research Areas: Cancer; Cardiovascular; Immunology;
Target Species: Human
Expression Host: E.coli
Fusion Tag: N-His
Accession: P18510
Background: Inhibits the activity of interleukin-1 by binding to receptor IL1R1 and preventing its association with the coreceptor IL1RAP for signaling. Has no interleukin-1 like activity. Binds functional interleukin-1 receptor IL1R1 with greater affinity than decoy receptor IL1R2; however, the physiological relevance of the latter association is unsure.
Sequence: Arg26-Glu177
Purity: > 90 % as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4., 5% trehalose, 5% mannitol, 0.01% tween-80.
Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
